Caution falling trees!

There is an increased risk of spontaneous fall of branches and trees throughout the National Park, where the laws of nature govern the formation and termination of trees. Enter the forest at your own risk!

Snowshoes

In recent years, the popularity of walks in the winter nature on snowshoes has been growing. The same rules apply to visitors on snowshoes as to pedestrians or skiers. The basis is to walk only on marked paths in the quiet area. Access to open terrain is not possible there. When walking on groomed cross-country trails, respect that the trail is for cross-country skiers and walk outside it on the side of the road.

In the Krkonoše Mountains, you may occasionally encounter a wolf. It is a top predator and generally shy toward humans, although young wolves may sometimes be curious.
Please stay on marked trails, keep dogs on a leash, and remain calm if you encounter a wolf. A wolf will most likely not approach closer than about 30 meters, if you notice it at all.
Do not approach wolves, do not try to attract them, and do not attempt to feed them. Give them time and space to move away.
