The beginning of the use of geographic information systems (GIS) for KRNAP Management dates back to 1992. During this time, GIS (software, datasets, analytical tools, etc.) has become an integral part of all activities related to the functioning of this type of institution (state administration, forestry, science and research, etc.).

The KRNAP Management's GIS is based on the use of technologies mainly from ESRI. The cornerstone is the ArcGIS system, currently in version 10.21.

The main map server of KRNAP Management

The KRNAP Management currently operates a map server based on ESRI ArcGIS Viewer for Flex technology at http://gis.krnap.cz/map/. The content of this map server is regularly updated. On this server, you will find interesting information from the following fields: Tourism, Conservation, Wildlife, Forest Management, Water and Territory.
